January 2002
Five months out and now there are starting to be significant
changes in my whole life -- not just my body. Every day I find it
more and more amazing.
My personality is becoming more positive and outgoing and in turn
I've noticed people reacting more positively to me. I'm much more
confident now and I no longer feel like I'm worth less than others
or that I don't deserve happiness. I smile a lot, look people in
the eye, and don't walk with my head down anymore.
On the weight loss, I haven't been this weight since I was 18.
If I lose the additional 30 pounds I hope to (my goal is 160) I
will be at my lowest weight since 15 years old! I didn't lose many
inches this month so I'll probably increase my weight training a
little.
On other matters, the constipation problem seems to have worked
itself out. Apparently I had some nasty hemorrhoids that were causing
part of the problem, and they probably came about because of the
pushing I had done for weeks. They were taken care of and now I'm
down to only one Senecot every other day to keep me regular. Do
try to keep yourself regular from the start to avoid the experience
I had.
One other thing that is worth noting: I'm noticing that I am hungry
quite a bit. It is interesting, because previously I ate so much
and so constantly that I never felt hunger pangs. But now I do --
about every 2 hours or so. But just a little snack -- like a handful
of soy nuts or 1/4 protein bar -- alleviates the hunger. Always
before I ate just to eat and then felt guilty, but now I eat whenever
my body tells me to and feel normal. How freeing!
